Promoting communities that are livable, workable, walkable, and bikeable.
We must better connect neighborhoods to each other and to jobs, schools, shops and recreation. Trail connections encourage active transportation, with residents choosing to walk, bike or use transit instead of drive. Reducing car-dependence improves health, protects our environment, reduces traffic congestion and makes the county a more attractive place to live, work and start a business – especially for the millennial generation.
The Alliance will seek better approaches to integrating land use, development and transportation to provide residents and visitors with safe, accessible, multimodal transportation choices.
